Owen played excellently in midfield and made the opportunites for the team.  Daniel did a good job in Defense and worked hard for the ball.  Kieran made at least 6 very good saves as Goal keeper and had a good game. Rees got in some good tackles along with Rowan who worked extremely hard this game and Harrison. All the team played very well in the first half. Seb held the midfield well and Harry made some excellent passes. Connor played very well and Luke, Joshia had a good match although we need more fire in your belly Joshia!!

Callum had a great match never giving up and always fighting hard for the ball.

Unfortunately we lost an early goal at the start of the 2nd half and we never kept the work rate up and it was soon 2-2 with the wind in their favour.  Our heads dropped and we never fought hard enough and the third goal by St Agnes was an unfortunate error and we went from winning 2-0 to loosing 3-2.

Despite the result I feel that we are improving and getting much better we need to get the “passion to win” and not be satisfied until we do this will see us improve and improve.  Early night and carbs before the match would be a great help to keep up your stamina.

First half saw Falmouth push hard on our defense, we did very well to go in at half time 2-1 down.  Will Avery’s goal in the first half was class.

Second half saw our team more in with a chance of scoring and we pushed forwards well but lost posession in midfield.  Another superb goal by Will Avery taking the score to 3-2, Joshia had a good chance of a goal but was saved by the keeper.

Final score really did not reflect what a good performance our team put in today.  Well done to all the players today. It was a thrilling game.

Saturday we have a friendly at home against Trevenson, please be in kit at 10am.  We then have a match again Helston AFC on Sunday away will confirm time once their manager has contacted me.

We played excellently given that we had no substitutes with every player putting in a great effort.  Our midfield struggled and left Helston break at our defence.  Excellent play by Rowan Cahill who was man of the match today!

Well done to Will up front today, Connor, Kieran, Harry and Rhys for their effort today. Harrison & Jed in defence had their work cut out for them and got in some great tackles.  Daniel did really well in goal today making 3 superb saves, Joshia had a great game today and deserved the cracking goal he scored.

We felt the loss of Callum Moses who badly injured his wrist but had till then had an excellent game.  Goals came from Callum Moses, Harry Rose and Joshia Goodwin – well done the whole team.

Directions-On the A30 past Tesco Penzance, head towards Lands End, at Alverton roundabout carry straight on until turning on left to Newlyn/Mousehole, take that turning and 3/4 miles down that road is a garage called PT Auto Repairs (POSTCODE TR20 8TL) in Stable Hobba, the pitch is approx. 200 yards past this garage on the left two big double gates.

Training as usual this Saturday morning 10-11.30 at Rame 11 a-side pitch.
